Biography
Born in Sverdlovsk, Luhansk Oblast, in 2012. After her initial training at the Sverdlovsk Children's Arts School (under Inna Yatsenko), in 2012, she went on to study at the Central School of Music of the Moscow Conservatory. Since 2022, she has been a student at the Gnessin Moscow Secondary Special Music School (under Maxim Zheleznov).
Varvara Zarudneva has repeatedly become a winner of the Republican Review-Contest of Young Musicians in Luhansk. She has also won the Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Piano Competition (2021, ‘Debut’ category), Tatiana Nikolaeva International Piano Competition in Bryansk (2021), Nathan Perelman International Piano Competition in St. Petersburg (2021), There’s Music, and There’s Salvation in It Online Competition (2023), and Moscow Mayor’s Grants Contest (2023). She also holds the 2nd prize of the Vasily Villuan and Aleksei Skavronsky International Competitions for Young Pianists in (Nizhny Novgorod, 2021, and Volgodonsk, 2022) and an award from the Yamaha Competition at the Central Music School (2022).
In 2023, she participated in the Boris Berezovsky’s Summer Evenings in Yelabuga Festival and Viktor Maevsky’s Summer Creative School in Suzdal. She has performed at the Moscow House of Music, Zaryadye Concert Hall, Moscow Conservatory halls, etc.
