For musicians at the beginning of their career, it is essential to be heard. Denis Matsuev’s Grand Piano Competition gives this opportunity both to laureates and diploma holders. All participants receive special prizes: invitations to perform at concerts and festivals, recordings with labels and many more. 

This year the special prizes went to:

Kirill Rogovoy (Russia)
– A solo concert within Art Unites the World. Boundless Pushkin project as part of the BRICS programme in Kazan, a special prize from Okxsa projects, the European Association for Interaction and Cooperation in the Field of Education, Culture, and Sports

Vladimir Rublev (Russia)
– Participation in the gala concert of the 7th Open-Air Music Festival Summer.Music.Museum at the New Jerusalem Museum, a special prize from the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra

Varvara Zarudneva (Russia)
– An interview with Musical Life Magazine from the Association of Music Journalists, Critics, and Musicologists

Ziyu Shao (China)
– The Audience Choice Award

Other special prizes include participation in Denis Matsuev's projects such as the Stars on Baikal Festival, the Crescendo Music Festival and the Denis Matsuev Presents: Dialogue of Generations Festival. There are also performance opportunities in projects by Valery Gergiev, Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Spivakov, Alexander Sladkovsky, as well as concerts of the Moscow Philharmonic Society. Additionally, a concert at the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Arts and a certificate for professional video and audio recordings on the CMS Records label.
