The 4th International Grand Piano Competition will open with the world premiere of the Concerto for four pianos and orchestra by Alexander Tchaikovsky, dedicated to Denis Matsuev.
 
The instrumental composition of the work has almost no analogues. The grandiose 352-key quartet features Denis Matsuev, as well as laureates of previous competitions — Pyotr Akulov, Ivan Bessonov and Sergey Davydchenko.
 
The soloists will be accompanied by the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Alexander Sladkovsky.
